Today is the day....

Today is the day that we turn in our lamp.  Class starts in about 10 minutes to go over the final project.  I really liked this project and the creativity that we were able to have.  Although it was a pain, the final project looks pretty awesome.  Here are some more process photos and the final product:

BDS is over! :)  I am so relieved to just be done with everything.

REVISIONS

Today I found out what my final design and shape is.  All I have to do is buy a new bulb (I dropped and broke 2 today) and figure out where to add more holes on the lamp.  I started to do so on half of the lamp and I still have to do the rest of the lamp.  Here are picture from class and from after with different bulbs:

Decisions

We made 3 different full size prototypes, and now all I have to do is choose one.  I liked one just the way it is and I liked another one, but not the shape of the lamp.  I need to combine a couple of methods and make an awesome lamp.  Here are my three prototypes:

Prototypes

This next phase of the project really stumped me.  Creating the 9 different lamps really made me think and I am not sure how much I like that.  I have to say it was fun seeing how the lamps looked when the light was finally there.  Here are process photos of my prototypes:

A New Beginning

We have now started a different project: building a lamp. To start off the project, we have to do studies in regard to paper.  In these studies, I found out that there is so much you can do with paper, that it is absolutely insane.  I chose to be more basic for right now, though.  I am interested to see what these lamps will look like towards the end.  Here are some process photos of my paper studies:
